With the rain holding out on the third day, Warwicks resumed on 197-4 and took their total to 433-8 declared. The main man was Tim Ambrose. The batsman and wicket keeper finished 156 not out whilst Jon Trott hit 82 and Neil Carter 84.
In reply, Leicestershire closed 312 behind on 125-1.
