Coventry Bees Speedway Team won 56-37 at Peterborough Panthers this lunch time.

In the first of two meetings today, the Bees travelled to Peterborough with a full strength side which saw Krzysztof Kasprzak back at number one after his second place in the Speedway GP nine days ago.

The start of the meeting was delayed due to an electrical problem which meant that the green and red starting lights did not work properly but when the racing did finally get underway, Kenneth Bjerre won the first race for the Panthers in a 3-3.

In a twice re-run heat two, Michal Szczepaniak rode for a 4-2 win before a 3-3 in the next heat.

Michal Szczepaniak picked up his second win in heat four when he rode to victory whilst Scott Nicholls fought off Larsen and Hougaard for a 5-1.

Kasprzak took the win in a 3-3 in heat six before Stuart Robson and Zengota took a 5-1 to see the Bees go ten points clear, which was still the same after a the home fans cheered a 3-3 in heat eight.

Sundstrom took the tactical ride in heat nine for the Panthers but it was to no avail as Nicholls and Summers rode to a 5-1.

That put the Bees fourteen points clear but it was reduced by seven points when Bjerre took the second tactical ride and the Panthers rode to an 8-1 win as the Bees went into the interval 35-28 up.

Kasprzak caught up with Patrick Hougaard in heat eleven to give the Bees a 4-2 win before Zengota did the same in heat twelve before Kazprzak and Nicholls shut out Bjerre to give Coventry another 5-1 and put them fifteen points clear and win the meeting

Heat fourteen was a 3-3 and but a 5-1 in the final heat meant that it was a good lunch-time's work with a 56-37 victory.
