Coventry Bees rider Chris Harris could not repeat his British Final form in tonight's Speedway Grand Prix Of Poland.

There was a 17,000 capacity crowd at the Motorarena in Torun in Poland and they saw Jaroslaw Hampel in Heat 3, take Chris Harris on the the second lap to win, whilst Harris just beat Chris Holder for second place.

A photo-finish saw Harris adjuged to be third in Heat 6 and in Heat 12, the Bees number one trailed home last.

Harris needed a win in Heat 15 to have any chance of making the semi-final but Tomasz Gollob was in tremendous form and won the Heat with Harris forced to take third place in another photo-finish.

In Heat 17, Torun rider Midezinkski won the heat with Harris again third and not making the cut for the semi-finals with five points which takes him to 36 in the Grand Prix Championship which has it's next meeting at Cardiff at the Millennium Stadium on July 10th (Tapes up at 5pm).

British rider Tai Woffenden did make the semi-final with seven points but he had no answer to Gallob who won easy with Hampel in second.

The two Poles were joined by another Pole Rune Holta and Jason Crump in the final which Gollob won to record a perfect maximum of 24 points and give him the lead in the championship.
