Coventry Bees rider Chris Harris finished fourth in the British Final at Wolverhampton
Harris had scored nine points from his five rides with a win in his third heat and was joined by fellow Bees Jason Garrity, who also scored nine points in the Run Off.
Ty Woffinden of Wolves won but Harris got past Garrity in a re-run which was without Scott Nicholls to join Craig Cook of Belle Vue and former Bees rider Ben Barker, now of Birmingham in the Grand Final.
Ben Barker went down on the first bend but all were back and when the heat was re-run, Cook went down on the first bend.
All four riders were back again for the third running of the British Championship but Barker went down and the heat was stopped for a third time.
Ben Barker needed medical attention and was in a lot of pain with his left arm but started for a fourth time.
Woffinden got past Barker and led all the way to become the British Champion but at the end of Lap four, Cook got past Barker to book his wild card place in the Speedway GP at Cardiff on July 12th, whilst Harris trailed in last.
