Coventry Blaze beat Hull Stingrays 5-2 tonight at the Sky Dome.
Back from two games in Belfast, the Blaze were ahead on 5.12 thanks to Greg Owen, assisted by Russ Cowley and Bryan Jurynec, only for Derek Campbell levelled on 6.55.
Into the second period and Owen Fussey fired the Blaze back in front on 25,37, assisted by Matic Kralj and Shea Guthrie and three minutes and ten seconds later, Hull levelled through Martin Ondrej.
Coventry went straight up the other end and on 29.20, Shea Guthrie fired the Blaze ahead, assisted by Robert Farmer and Dustin Wood.
A fourth goal followed with Greg Owen getting his second of the night with a powerplay goal on 36.42.
The third period did not produce as many goals but the Blaze fans still got one to cheer when Jon Weaver found the net on 50.56, assisted by Mike McLean and Greg Owen as they romped to a 5-2 victory.
