Jets Announce Fixture Schedule

Last updated : 11 March 2014 By James O'Grady

Coventry Jets have a tough schedule for their 2014 Premier League
season as they attempt to make their first post-season appearance
since 2010.

Head Coach Paul Rickhuss, entering his third season in
charge, will look to make a fast start with home games versus the
Gateshead Senators and Birmingham Bulls, two teams that the Jets have never lost against.

The match up with Birmingham will be held at the Butts Park Arena, not at Coventry Sphinx, as it is a benefit game for Rich Barrett an ex-player of both clubs.

Jets play their first road game at Tamworth Phoenix on May 11th.
Tamworth have made the playoffs every year since their inception in
2008, and have never lost to the Jets. Tamworth, who boast several
former Jets players including wide receiver James Hossack, whose six
receptions in BritBowl XXII were key in helping the Jets to the 2008
National Title, shutout Coventry 19-0 last season.

After a two week break the Jets return to the Sphinx to host the
Nottingham Caesars on June 1st. before ending the season playing four of their final five games on the road. Away trips to Yorkshire Rams
(June 8th), Doncaster Mustangs (June 22nd), East Kilbride Pirates
(July 27th) and Sheffield Predators (August 17th) sandwich Coventry's
final home game against the Lancashire Wolverines on Sunday the 29th of June.

The Jets are still recruiting for the 2014 season, sessions are
outdoors on a 3G pitch are held at Alan Higgs Centre, so wear
appropriate training kit and boots and bring a drink. There is a £2
charge to participate but it's free for first timers. For further
