The Cassidy Jets survived a bruising battle with the Bristol Aztecs to come away with a well deserved 28-15 win. The two sides met for the 4th time with the Jets maintaining their 100% record over their southern visitors whilst extending their lead at the top of the table. Running back Kofi Campbell starred for the Jets with 2 touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 receiving) amassing 99 yards on 19 carries and 2 receptions for 4 yards.
Joe Black opened the scoring for the Cassidy Jets on their second possession, his 54 yard catch from Dax Michelena spotted the home side a 6-0 lead. Defensive Captain Craig Pennington had his unit applying constant pressure to visiting quarterback Dom Westwood and the Aztecs struggled to cope, consistently failing to move the ball throughout the first half.
Leading receiver Mark Cohen made a spectacular catch in the endzone early in the second quarter as the Jets began to exert their offensive dominance. Cohen somehow managed to keep both feet inbounds whilst at full stretch converting a huge 4th down play.
