Kelman Joins Blaze

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team have signed centreman Scott Kelman. The American was on the first pick of thje 1999 NHL draft and has six years experience in American hockey.

Kelman has been signed from Dayton Bombers and said to the CT: "I'm thrilled to get the opportunity to play for Coventry Blaze.

"A big part of my decision on where to play next season was somewhere with a tradition of winning. Speaking to Paul Thompson,I am convinced that I would get the opportunity to win every time I stepped on the ice.

"I'm coming to Coventry with the intention of us being the top team in the league again."
