Marlon Strikes Gold In Commonwealth Games

Marlon Devonish picked up a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games this afternoon.



The Coventry born runner was part of the 4X100M team which saw England snatch victory from Jamaica thanks to an excellent anchor leg from Mark Lewis Francis.

"I'm delighted with the gold medal," said Devonish to the BBC. "The team spirit was excellent and I'd like to thank all the medical staff. "It has been an honour."

Devonish finished fifth in the final of the 200m.
