The latest round of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series took place at Cardiff's Millenium stadium for what all the riders class as THE grand prix of the year that they all want to do well in.
Bees riders Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls took their places in the line-up with Scott having been given the wildcard entry for this event after winning the British champtionship title.
Chris didn't have the best of nights but Scott rode well and finished on 7 points from his 5 rides, missing out on a semi-final place by virtue of not having won a heat which was a shame.
The racing on the night was as fast and furious as ever with Jason Crump hitting the air fence hard and appearing to aggravate an existing shoulder injury, but carry on he did.
The meeting was won by Aussie Chris Holder who, after Greg Hancock failed to make the semi-finals after suffering a rare engine failure in his last ride whilst leading, is now 1 point behind Greg with 3 grand prix's remaining.
Chris Harris is currently 11th in the standings on 52 points, but is 24 points behind 8th placed man Andreas Jonsson, with a top 8 finish guaranteeing a place in the GP series next year.
