Nuneaton Beaten, Leamington Win

Nuneaton Town worked wonders to get their home Conference Premier Division game against Braintree Town on but it ended in a 4-2 defeat.

A crowd of 761 at Liberty Way saw James Mulley nod the visitors ahead in the 16th minute before Simon Forsdick scored from an Adam Walker corner  four minutes before half-time.

Dan Holman restored Braintree's lead in the 48th minute and a 67th minute free kick from Dean Wells made it 3-1.

Delroy Gordon headed Nuneaton back into the match in the 77th minute but three minutes from time, Bradley Dack condemned Nuneaton to a 4-2 defeat.

Leamington went five points clear at the top of the Southern League with a 2-0 win at Arlesey Town. Dodd put the Brakes ahead with a 15th minute penalty and Chilton added a second in the 73rd minute in front of a crowd of 290.

In Midland Combination Division 2, FC Stratford beat Poielsworth 4-1.
