Nuneaton Draw But Leamington Lose

Nuneaton Town drew 0-0 at Hereford United this afternoon.

Nuneaton had plenty of chances through Andy Brown and Wes Yorke but failed to take tham and had to settle for the draw which leaves them a point behind fifth from bottom Barrow who beat Tamworth 2-0 at home.

Leamington FC went down to a 3-0 defeat at Gosport Borough. The Southern League Premier Division leaders trailed to a 34th minute Wooden goal and conceded two more in the second half through Williams in the 65th minute and Brown in the 80th minute.

Bedworth United drew 1-1 at Banbury with Tom Bates scoring an equaliser for the Greenbacks five minutes from time.

Rugby Town kept up their promotion push with a 3-0 win at Northwood. Koriya set them on their way with a first half goal and goals from Youngs (80) and Myles (90+1) wrapped up a fine afternoon.

In the Midland Alliance, leaders Stratford Town beat Kirby Muxloe 2-1 with first half goals from Lei Brown and Jamie Molyneux either side of a Tom Hill goal.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood beat Lichfield City 2-1, Racing Club Warwick lost 3-0 at Castle Vale JKS, Nuneaton Griff lost 2-1 at home to Atherstone and Southam United drew 2-2 with Brocton.

In the Presidents Cup, Alvis lost 4-0 at Archdale 73.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, Coventry Spartans won 1-0 at Leamington Hibernian but Coventry Spires lost 4-1 at Perrywood anf FC Stratford lost 5-2 at Polesworth.
