Coventry which is hosting mens and women's Olympic football at the City of Coventry Stadium next July has been announced as an overnight stop venue for the Olympic Torch.
The Torch is to travel 8,000 miles around the United Kingdom and so far seventy four places have been named including Coventry.
The torch will leave Land's End, Cornwall, on the morning of Saturday 19 May 2012 - the day after it arrives in the UK from Greece and will be a 70 day journey of celebration according to Lord Seb Coe.
The torch will arrive in Coventry on July 1st and spend one night in our famous and historic city before heading towards London for the opening ceremony which starts on July 27th
