Warwickshire County Cricket Club made it a good weekend with a Pro40 victory against Kent.
After beating Sussex yesterday in a County Championship match, Warwicks travelled to Canterbury to face Kent in a Pro40 game.
Warwicks batted first and had Neil Carter in fine form. the 34 year old left handed batsman made 103 before he had to retire hurt.
The Bears had Jon Trott run out for one and Ian Bell caught for 22 before Carter and Jim Troughton got together and made a stand of 163.
Troughton made 56 with Tim Ambrose adding 46 as Warwicks made 283-6 from their forty overs.
When Kent batted, Chris Woakes struck early taking the wicket of Hockley with Sreesanth quickly removing Blake in the next over.
Geraint Jones made 63 with Darren Stevens 46 and James Tredwell but tight bowling form Woakes who took two wickets along with Stefan Piolet and Jon Trott plus the three from Ant Botha ensured that Kent were all out for 224 and Warwickshire winners by 59 runs.
On Wednesday, Warwicks travel to Surrey for a Pro40 game. Play is due to start at The Oval at 4.40pm.
