Congratulations have been received by Coventry City Ladies following their promotion to the Women's Premier League.
The Sky Blues managed by Paul Cudby booked their place in the highest division that any Coventry City Ladies team has ever played in with a 1-0 victory after Derby County thanks to a run which saw City win seven out of their eight remaining games.
Manchester City were prevented by the Sky Blues from gaining promotion to the second tier of Women's Football following the recent launch of the WSL and their Chairman Gary Moores who came to watch was amongst those who have paid tribute to the club on their back to back promotions.
Mr Moores said: " Just to say well done at Derby and congratulations on your promotion.
"I came down to watch, admittedly hoping you would slip up and give us a second chance but you managed a good win. "All the best in the National."
Coventry City Ladies will celebrate their promotion by attending the Coventry City End Of Season Dinner and the club which is sponsored by Archer Bassett and City Link will have an evening at the Ricoh Arena on Friday June 3rd where the players will all get their trophies.
