Any speedway meeting between Coventry and Wolverhampton are eagerly awaited but for the Bees tonight was especially so, given that finally their season has started with points on the board along with an anticipated debut for Polish rider Przemyslaw Pawlicki replpacing the injured Christian Hefenbrock.
All looked set at 6pm but with two very heavy downpours in the run up to the meeting, the track staff were unable to prevent the track from becoming waterlogged leaving the referee with no option but to call off the meeting.
As yet no new date for this fixture is available, with the Bees due to face Wolverhampton at Monmore Green on Monday evening with a start time of 6pm, which will be screened on Sky Sports.
