Coventry Bees beat Ipswich Witches 46-44 tonight at Brandon but suffered the loss of Rory Schlein.
In heat 3, the Coventry based Australian crashed heavily on the back straight after getting out of shape. His handlebars caught the fence and pitched him on top of the fence.
An abulance was called to the scene and was on the track for fifteen minutes before Schlein was stretchered into it.
Ipswich led 22-20 after heat 7 but by the last heat, it was 42 points each, thanks to the reserves who took Schlein's rides scoring 19 points between them.
Scott took Ed Kennett down on turn two and was excluded to guarantee at least a draw. However, Chris Harris took the win passing Ipswich rider Miskowlak on the outside. Kennett fell trying to pass for second on the last corner but got back to up to take third place and give Bees the victory.
The Bees next meeting is away to Wolves on Monday July 20th with Poole visiting Brandon four days later.
