Warwickshire County Cricket Club beat Scotland by seven wickets in a Friends Provident Trophy game at Edgbaston this afternoon.
With Ian Bell and Jon Trott back in the side after playing for the winning England Lions team against the West Indies at Derby yesterday, the visitors batted first.
Despite Hamilton (51) and Borgas (59) chipping in with half centuries, Scotland succumbed to the bowling of Rankin, Barker and Clarke who each took two wickets and were 182 all out in 48.3 overs.
Jon Trott and Neil Carter took the score on for Warwicks. Trott made 33 before being dismissed with the score on 88. Carter went on to make 65, hitting four sixes and eight fours.
Ian Bell was again in good form and made an unbeaten 51 with seven fours. Ian Westwood was run out for four but Bell and Tony Frost (19 not out) took Warwicks through to an easy win.
Warwickshire are back in County Championship action against Yorkshire at Edgbaston on Wednesday. Play is due to start at 11am.
