Harry Aikines-Aryeetey did not expect to get beaten by Coventry's Joel Fearon and the rest of his fellow British athletes during his 100m heat at British Grand Prix Diamond League meeting last Sunday at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium, writes Ziad Chaudry.
The 24-year-old Sutton & District sprinter was relegated to the bottom of the eight man standings by 24-year-old Fearon, who also competes in Bobsleigh, and the in-form James Dasaolu.
“I didn’t come here to get beaten by Brits, I got beaten by Joel (Fearon) and obviously James (Dasaolu) is on fire at the moment," said Aikines-Aryeetey.
