Sphinx Go For Glory

Coventry Sphinx play their biggest game in the club's cup history when they take on Stanway Rovers in Fifth Round of the FA Vase tomorrow.

Paul Charnley's team are staying over-night near Romford thanks to the assistance of local companies Windsor Garage,BMS Ltd,HIA International and the Cassidy Group and will train at West Ham's training ground tomorrow morning before travelling to Stanway.

The gesture by West Ham comes after The Hammers used Sphinx Drive to train for the League Cup against City earlier in the season.

Sphinx boss Paul Charnley (pictured above with Alan Curbishley) has had the Eastern Counties side watched and said that Sphinx can win the game which would leave them only two games away from a Wembley Final.

You can see a feature on Sphinx on Midlands Today tonight. The programme starts at 6.30pm and is also available on line. Latest news from the game will appear on this site and from BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, who are sending a reporter.
