Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team beat Dundee Stars 7-2 in an Elite League match tonight at the Sky Dome.
The Blaze who had cancelled Luke Fulgrum's contract after the midweek defeat to Braehead Clan, went behind on 3.52 when Joe Dolan scored for the Scottish side.
Paul Thompson's side were soon back in the match, thanks to Robert Farmer, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Woo-Sang Park, levelling on 4.12.
A powerplay goal had the Blaze in front on 6.22 when Farmer hit the second, assisted by Owen Fussey and Shea Guthrie and two became three on 7.08 when Frantisek Bakrlik scored his first Blaze goal, assisted by Jerramie Domish and Jonathan Weaver.
By the end of the first, Coventry led 4-1 thanks to Matic Kralj, assisted by Weaver and Fussey, finding the net for a powerplay goal on 16.43.
Thirteen minutes and eleven seconds of the second period went by before Coventy went nap with a fifth goal thanks to Dave Phillips scoring, assisted by Mike McLean who turned poacher thirty eight seconds later for the sixth goal.
Frantisek Bakrlik, assisted by Owen and Kralj hit the seventh on 41.56 and although Brennan Turner scored a second for Dundee on 52.24, Coventry who travel to Edinburgh tomorrow were deserved winners.
