Coventry kid Ian Bell was in fine form for England as they warmed up for their first One Day International game against Sri Lanka on Monday.
Bell, who was left out of England's team for the Twenty/20 World Cup, defied the heat and humidity in Colombia, to make 131 not out in a superb innings and displayed some power hitting, smashing four sixes in five balls.
England made 314-4 in their alloted overs with 66 from Alistair Cook and then seven bowlers skittled out the Board for 234 to give England a win by 80 runs.
Bell said to Sky Sports: "It was nice to spend some time in the middle to get used to the Sri Lankan wicket but it was not nice in the heat and humidity.2
Meanwhile,Warwickshire have appointed Alan Donald to help Ashley Giles manage the side which will play in Division Two of the County Championship next season.
Donald has been wanted by Peter Moores to continue his work with the England national team, but the South African decided that twelve years of travelling was enough and with his children settled at school, working for Warwickshire would help his home life.
Peter Moores wished him all the best and said he would look around and see what the future holds.
