Walker Scores In Nuneaton Win

Former Coventry City youngster Adam Walker scored for Nuneaton Town in a 2-0 win over Corby Town which keeps them on course for promotion to the Conference.

Guy Hadland put Nuneaton ahead in the ninth minute and in the 29th minute, Walker broke clear to hit the second and give Nuneaton the three points in front of a crowd of 775.

Leamington drew 1-1 with Evesham United in a Southern League game. Daly put the Brakes ahead in the 29th minute before the visitors equalised through Eze in the 40th minute.

Former Coventry City youngster Tom Bates scored for Bedworth United in a 3-1 win over Aylesbury.

Roper put the Greenbacks ahead in the fifth minute. Spruce levelled a minute later before Bates scored in the 33rd minute. In the second half, Spencer hit a third in the 61st minute.

Rugby Town beat Daventry Town 2-0 with late goals from Fagan and Hamilton.

Stratford Town finished with nine players in a 2-0 defeat at Alvechurch, whilst Atherstone beat Highgate 2-0.

In the Midland Combinaton Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood beat Cadbury Athletic 5-1, Southam United won 4-1 at Pilkington but Racing Club Warwick lost 3-2 at home to Earlswood.

In Division One, Alvis drew 2-2 at home with Bromsgrove Sporting.

In Division Two, FC Stratford beat Clements 83 5-0, Leamington Hibernian lost 2-1 at home to Enville and Young Warriors drew 3-3 with Burntwood.
