Warwickshire County Cricket Club beat Glamorgan by four wickets in a Twenty/20 game tonight.
Glamorgan batted first against an unchanged Warwickside at Edgbaston. The Dragons had made 34 when Mike O'Shea was caught by Rikki Clarke.
Stefan Piolet took the wicket of Mark Wallace and with the score on 106, Jamie Dalrymple gave Tim Ambrose an easy catch.
Glamorgan started to stutter and towards the ends of the innings, Tom Maynard was run out for 15. Then Rikki Clarke took two wickets in succesive balls capturing the wickets of Wharf and Croft and gave him figures of 2-31 from his alloted four overs.
Jeeten Patel took his second wicket when he bowled Watkins with three balls left to leave Warwicks left needing 149 to win.
Twelve runs came off the first over with Trott and Neil Carter leading the way. Carter smacked one six before he was out for twelve.
Jon Trott hit two sixes before he was out for 33 with the score on 75. Jim Troughton chipped in with 29 before Ian Bell, Ian Westwood and Tim Ambrose lost thier wickets cheaply.
However, Rikki Clarke and Ant Botha steered Warwicks to a victory which keeps their chances of qualifying for the next stage alive.
On Friday, Warwicks travel to Worcestershire. Play is due to start at 5.30pm.
