England's cricket team suffered a major embarrassment when they recorded one of their lowest ever totals of 51 all out to lose the first test to the West Indies by an innings and 23 runs.

West Indies batted this morning and moved their first innings total on to 392 to give them a lead of 74.

However, England were ripped apart by the West Indies attack in a twenty over spell which left the tourists in dire trouble at 26-7.

Coventrian Ian Bell made only four runs before he was caught by Ramdin off the bowling of Benn.

Andrew Flintoff, who was sold in yesterday's IPL auction for £1.1m top scored with a lowly 24 before he was bowled by Edwards for the ninth wicket.

That ended any hope and one run later, England were all out in 33.2 overs for 51 which is their third lowest ever score in a test match.
