Wrexham AFC have confirmed that former Nuneaton Town manager Kevin WIlkin will be their new manager, replacing former Coventry City player Andy Morrell.
Wrexham have issued the following statement:
"We are delighted to announce Kevin Wilkin as the new manager of Wrexham Football Club, who joins us from divisional counterparts Nuneaton Town on a two-year deal that will run until the end of season 2015/16.
The former Northampton Town player had been in charge at Liberty Way since 2006, winning three promotions in taking ‘The Boro’ from the Southern League Division One Midlands up to Conference National Level and leaving them well placed in a play-off berth to join us at the Racecourse.
We are thrilled to have landed one of the most sought after young managers outside of the Football League who will relocate to live in the area. Kevin will take charge of the team with immediate effect leading them out for the first time in the home game v Salisbury City this Saturday 22nd March.
This is an exciting time at the football club and we believe we are putting together a team that will bring us the success we all crave at Wrexham FC. Your continued support for the team is very much appreciated; let’s roar the team on to success together."
