Leave M1 at Junction 37 and follow the signs for Barnsley FC.

Barnsley railway station is about a ten minute walk away. This station is served by trains running between Sheffield & Leeds.

From the train station turn left away from the town centre and head towards the bridge that the dual-carriageway runs over. Go under the bridge and turn left up the slip road and then take the first road on the right and head towards the Metro Dome leisure complex at the top of the hill. Oakwell is now clearly visible.

MATCH OFFICIALS

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City’s League One game at Barnsley is Tony Harrington from Cleveland.

Mr Harrington was appointed to the Football League Referees list for the 2012/2013 season after being an assistant referee.

He has not been in charge of a City game before but has refereed at Oakwell, taking charge of the Tykes 0-0 draw with Brighton in April 2014.

This season, he has had 23 games, shown 62 yellows but no reds.

His assistants are Karl Evans and Alf Greenwood. The Fourth Official is Mark Dwyer.
