THE LAST TIME
Tuesday will see the 41st meeting of Brentford and Coventry City.

The Sky Blues have won 17 , drawn 10 and lost 13 of those matches, scoring 65 goals to Brentford's 39.

The last time the sides met was on July 28th 2001 when City, with John Hartson making his last ever Coventry appearance before he joined Celtic, drew 0-0 in a pre-season game.

However, for a meeting in the league, you have to go back to 1963 when the sides drew 2-2 at Highfield Road on Feb 15th 1964 for a Third Division game. That season, on October 5th, City won 3-2, which was one of six wins at Griffin Park.

City's record win at Brentford was a 4-1 win in 1947 but their record defeat was a 7-3 loss in October 1926.

MATCH OFFICIALS
The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's game at Brentford on Tuesday is Keith Stroud.

Mr Stroud got into refereeing after running the line for his parks team. The referee on one of these games approached him after the game complimenting him on his performance as an assistant referee and gave him details of the up and coming referee course to consider which he duly attended.

Mr Stroud, an official who believes that a smile on occasions helps to diffuse situations and helps to encourage positive interaction from referee to player/coaching staff, was appointed to the FIFA International Assistant Referees list in 2004 and joined the Select Group Referees list in 2007.

His last City game was the defeat to West Ham United at home last season and previous City games are the 1-0 defeat to Swansea in January 2011, the 3-2 home defeat to Leeds in November 2010, the 1-0 win at Plymouth Argyle in December 2009 and previous City matches in which he has refereed are: the 0-0 home draw with West Brom in October 2009, the 1-1 draw at QPR in January 2009, the 2-0 home win against Leicester in February 2008, the 0-2 home defeat to Palace on Boxing Day 2007, the 0-1 defeat at Wolves in October 2007, the 0-0 at Colchester in March 2007 and the 2-0 home win against Sheffield United in March 2006.

This will be his ninth match this season and so far he has shown 27 yellows and one red in Burton's 1-0 win at Southend.

His assistants are David Woolford and Graham Horwood. The Fourth Official is Wes Linden
