TRAVEL

​ From the M1. Leave the motorway at Junction 29 at the roundabout take the second exit A617 its dual carriageway for 7 miles or so. At the end of the A617 get in the right hand lane and at the roundabout take the 4th exit the A61 north dual carriageway. At the next roundabout take the first exit at the Tesco's roundabout. Gordon Lamb garage on the left. Donkey Derby on the right. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit and drive along the B6057 Sheffield Road. You should be able to see the ground on your left just past Tesco's entrance.

From the A61:

Follow the A61 Derby Road. (Warning: Speed Cameras!) towards the town centre. Pass the cinema complex and at the roundabout take the third exit to A61 dual carriageway. At the next roundabout take the first exit at the Tesco's roundabout. Gordon Lamb garage on the left. Donkey Derby on the right. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit and drive along the B6057 Sheffield Road. You should be able to see the ground on your left just past Tesco's entrance.

From the Railway Station follow the 'Stonegravels Way' footpath and cycle route that leads past the Chesterfield Hotel and up Brewery Street over the dual carriage way.  Turn right down the steps and proceed along Infirmary Road past Chesterfield College and straight ahead along Canal Wharf.  Where this joins Hazlehurst Lane bear right onto a new footpath which runs alongside the dual carriageway. Proceed until the footpath runs along the boundary of the Casa Hotel to emerge at Lockford Lane where there will be the first sighting of the Proact Stadium.

THE LAST TIME
Monday will see Coventry City’s 13th visit to Chestefield FC. 

The Sky Blues have won on four occasions in league and cup matches, with two draws and six defeats and have scored 19 goals to Chesterfield’s 26. 

City’s last win in a league game was on Friday February 1st 2013 and saw a 2-1 win. 

Last season, in what proved to be Tony Mowbray’s first away win as City manager, the Sky Blues won 3-2 with Marcus Tudgay giving City an eighth minute lead before Jay O’Shea equalised in the 42nd minute. Samni Odelusi scored for City in the 64th minute with Frank Nouble scoring a third in the 75th minute. Aribiyi scored a second for the Spireites with five minutes left but City took the win.

MATCH OFFICIALS
The currently appointed referee for Coventry City’s League One game at Chesterfield is Paul Tierney from Lancashire.

Paul got into refereeing after seeing a poster advertising a referees course at a sports centre. He was appointed to the Referees list in 2008 and is now on the Premier League list.

His last City game was the 4-0 win at Carlisle United in August 2014 and other games he has been in charge of are: the 1-1 draw versus Sheffield United at the Ricoh Arena on August 21st 2012, the 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough in August 2011 and he was also in charge of the 0-0 draw at Reading in December 2010.

His assistants are: Declan Ford and Mark Mellor. The Fourth Official is Matthew Donohue.  __________________________________________
