Coventry City supporters have purchased 1200 season tickets so far.
The season tickets have been on sale since May 3rd and numbers have increased following the appointment of Tony Mowbray as permanent manager.
With the Early Bird period not ending until the end of June, many City supporters will keep their cash in their bank accounts for as long as possible until purchasing just before the dead-line.
City CEO Steve Waggott has set a target of 6,000 season ticket sales and told the Coventry Telegraph: “We are very much looking forward and, as someone who speaks regularly to supporters, I can feel a real sense of optimism ahead of next season.
“That has been reflected in a strong start to season ticket sales but we have to continue to work as hard as we possibly can to drive further sales before that early bird deadline.
“I made a commitment to make football more affordable for our fans and the reduction in season ticket prices was a real statement from Coventry City to our supporters – and it’s clear they are buying into that, along with the arrival of Tony Mowbray.
“We have set a target of 6,000 season tickets and the early sign – just a few weeks in – suggests we have every chance of hitting that."
