Coventry City have now sold around 4,650 season tickets so far this season including corporate areas.
The club have gone on record over the weeks as saying that they want 6,000 season tickets which was the amount that they had when the club last played a season at the Ricoh Arena but are delighted with the amount sold since the return to Coventry was announced.
City's CEO Steve Waggott said to the club website: “The response from supporters has been fantastic and we would be delighted to get to the 5,000 mark for Season Tickets – we are certainly closing in on it.
“I am extremely grateful to all of the staff for their efforts too and their work in getting Season Tickets out in the post has helped the Superstore return to normality. There is still good interest but we’ve brought in additional staff and that, coupled with Season Tickets being posted out, means fans are being served much more quickly than before.
“We are still having the occasional issue with the shop website but, again, we are working through that and welcome all feedback from supporters so we can address issues as and when they arise."
