The Coventry City Former Players Association is running an ‘Away Day’ to the Sky Blues’ game at Peterborough a week on Saturday (12th April).
CCFPA Former Players and committee members will be travelling to the game hoping for a great performance from CCFC’s young team. A coach has been booked to transport the happy band and there are a few spaces available on the coach.
If you fancy travelling to the game with such illustrious former players of the Club as Association president Kirk Stephens, committee man Dave Bennett, veteran Bantam Gordon Simms, ‘penalty king’ Ron Farmer, defensive stars of the sixties Dietmar Bruck and Ian Goodwin and Sky Blue Striker Paul Culpin (plus several others we are awaiting confirmation from) you need to contact us quickly. Cully and Micky Gynn (who also hopes to be at the game) have, of course, both played for ‘the Posh’
Early birds may (subject to availability for an additional cost) also be able to join the party for a pre match meal and match ticket package at the Ground. If you just want to book a place on the coach they are priced at £10 per seat. The coach will leave from outside the G-Casino reception at 11:00 am prompt on Saturday 12th April 2014 and return to the G Casino after the match for the option of a social beverage or two.
We also intend to run a raffle and there will be a ’blackout’ opportunity and hopefully a Q & A on the coach with the Former Players participating. Why not join us and enjoy a great day out with some of those Sky Blue heroes you have seen from the Highfield Road and Ricoh terraces? The spare places are sure to be in demand so act quickly!
