Richard Stevens felt that City U21's 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic was a good experience for some of the younger players.
City took on a strong Charlton team which included Franck Moussa and snatched a 1-1 draw with a stoppage time header from Ryan Haynes and speaking about this, Stevens told Matt Joyce: “We came up against a strong Charlton team and it was a difficult game. They were physically more mature than us and we had several apprentices in the team.
“They showed unbelievable application being 1-0 down with ten to go, we put in a lot of effort, found a little but more energy and deserved the equaliser for our efforts. Everyone is enjoying their football within the club at the moment.
“It was a good experience for the apprentices in particular, playing with players who have been in and around the first-team and against an experienced Charlton 21s side.”
