Coventry City U18’s and Reserve team coach Lee Carsley has said it is all about the team’s progression and personal development.
City U18’s side proudly at the top of the Academy League Group B table with nine wins from eleven matches whilst Jordan Willis became the latest player from the U18’s to appear for City’s first team when he came on a substitute in the 4-2 defeat to Southampton.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Carsley said: "The winning start and the lads going into the first team is great but I think the most important thing is the side's progression and personal development.
"They are learning everyday and we are seeing a lot of good signs in them that they are taking our information on board. I didn't work directly with Jordan (Willis) for the most part so that success will go down to Gregor (Rioch) and Richard (Stevens) hard work.
"They can look upon it as an example and the most important thing is some the progression as they won't be judged on their success as a team but as an individual."
