Coventry City Reserves left it late to win at Oldham Athletic.
A story of two trains and two buses (all on time0 saw us arrive at Boundary Park in the sunny but cold town of Oldham.
Fielding a strong team,Steve Ogrizovic's side needed only eighty seconds to take the lead through Wayne Andrews who banged in from close range after Elliott Ward headed on a corner.
Against a side which had only taken one point from their first seven Pontins League matches, the Sky Blues dominated proceedings. Leon McKenzie,Julian Gray and Wayne Andrews had chances with the former Palace striker firing wide on three occasions and having one shot saved by Josh Bell in the 22nd minute.
In the 31st minute,City went further ahead when Robert Page sent Julian Gray down the left. The cross was superb and Donovan Simmonds was able to stab home from three yards
Things looked comfortable as City's experience told, but two errors in three minutes had Lee Duxbury's side back in the match.
A 61st minute ball from Leon McKenzie went astray and Liam Dawson raced forward to feed Lewis Allesandra who beat Marshall.
Three minutes later,an error by Ward let in substitute Ryan Brooke who curled the ball into the net with his right.
With four minutes to go, City snatched a win thanks to Wayne Andrews heading home a Thornton corner.
