A very young Coventry City U17's side were beaten 8-3 by Leicester City in a friendly this afternoon.
City took the lead in the eight minute before Trevor Peake's team, which contained a mix of 16,17 and 18 year olds levelled in the 22nd minute.
Leicester went ahead nineteen seconds into the second half and added a third with a header from a corner in the 57th minute.
The Sky Blues, who had most of their U18's side playing for the reserves versus Notts County, pulled a goal back a minute leader and had chances to tie the game but Leicester made it 4-2 in the 70th minute.
There were three more goals in the next two minutes with the visitors scoring in the 75th and 78th minute before Coventry got their third goal of the afternoon with a powerfully hit shot from the edge of the area.
Late on, Leicester scored from two penalties to win 8-3.
