Coventry City U18's went down to a 3-0 defeat to
Nottingham Forest.

With Tony Mowbray and Steve Ogrizovic watching on, City fielded a side with George Thomas back up front for the Sky Blues who are second in the league with Forest third but without Cian Harries and Callum Maycock.

Forest, whose players had a clear height advantage, had an shot on goal and in the fifth minute were awarded a penalty for a shove which Kasuine Walton duly dispatched past Jake Richards.

That goal lifted Forest and Leahy gave them a tenth minute corner which was headed wide.

After Jordan Shipley, who had been booked, was replaced due to a facial injury by Jay Albini and Tony Mowbray was interviewed by Clem from the Football League Show, a Devon Kelly-Evans free kick was saved.

Richards saved twice and Kyle Spence fired at the keeper at the other end.

In the 37th minute, a free kick led to a Devon Kelly-Evans shot but two minutes later, City went two goals down went Walton rounded Richards to score,

In the 43rd minute, Forest had a third when Elvis Otim was left unchallenged to fired in a low shot into the bottom corner of the net
George Thomas had a chance early in the second half as did Walton who capitalised on a poor ball from Barnett.

A Luke Thomas shot was saved before City won a 52nd minute corner which George Thomas sent wide.

Jake Richards was having a fine game in goal and he made a brave block to grab from McDonagh with twenty minutes left.

Thomas clipped a shot over in the 79th minute and Forest hit the post at the other end and fired wide

City never looked like scoring and this was a bad defeat.
