Coventry City U18''s suffered their heaviest defeat of the season with a 4-0 defeat to Leicester City.

City were on the attack from the start with Courtney Richards having a shot saved after only eight seconds.

Jonson  Clarke-Harris went close with two efforts in front of a crowd which contained Steve Waggott and Steve Ogrizovic.

In the 27th minute, Trevor Peake''s side took the lead against the run of play when a mistake allowed Pierre Larrieu space on the left hand side of the six yard box and his shot squirmed past Lee Burge.

Will Roberts fired over from a superb ball from Josh Ruffels who was booked for a tackle on Michael Cain.

In the 42nd minute, the City management and City support were fuming when Gael Bigirimana chased back and won the ball only for the referee to wave a yellow card in his face and a free kick  to Leicester which was cleared by City''s hard working defence.

Leicester had the play at the start of the second half with Tom Hopper and Larrieu both having efforts on goal before Bigirimana had a shot saved and Jonson Clarke Harris fired across the goal.

In the 67th minute, Leicester hit a second when Pierre Larrieu was first to a  Burge punch and sent the ball into the empty net to make City pay for their inability today to keep hold of the ball.

In the 77th minute, it really was game over when Tom Hopper got the ball on the left. With no flag, hewas allowed space and time to beat Burge with a well placed shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Then in stoppage time, Hopper completed a miserable morning for the  Sky Blues when he sent another low drive past Burge.
