Coventry City U18's beat the Strachan Football Foundation 4-3 this morning.
In a friendly, that was part of the deal that saw City sign Jordan Ponticelli and it was the striker who gave the Sky Blues the lead in the 16th minute with a neat finish.
On the half hour and after Kyle Finn had hit the post, City put together a classy move and Tom Bayliss stroked the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
In the 33rd minute, it was three when a Kyle Finn header was flapped by the keeper and Jordan Ponticelli pounced.
There were changes a plenty but Ponticelli, was able to complete his hat-trick in the 64th minute with a low drive.
The Strachan Foundation came back with a goal in the 70th minute and a second twelve minutes later with a third in the 88th minute to reduce City's margin of victory.
