Coventry City U21's were beaten 3-1 at Sheffield Wednesday in a PDL League 2 Northern fixture this afternoon.
At Wednesday's Middlewood Road Training Ground, the Sky Blues, who included Danny Pugh, Seb Hines, Conor Thomas and Marcus Tudgay, were a goal down after 22 minutes thanks to Jaques Maghoma scoring with a low finish past Lee Burge.
City came back winning two corners but in the 31st minute, Maghoma scored a second following a good move with Paul Corry.
Lee Burge made an early save in the second half before Tudgay fired wide.
In the 65th minute, the Sky Blues pulled a goal back thanks to Marcus Tudgay firing high into the net from twenty yards.
Ryan Haynes had gone close with a free kick but in the 78th minute, Wednesday restored their two goal margin when Dieseruvwe scored with a 25 yarder and City, who had a couple of chances late on, were beaten.
