Coventry City U21's made it two wins on the trot with a 2-0 victory over Watford.
At the Ricoh Arena for a game between two sides bottom of their respective divisions, Lee Glover was able to name a City side which included new boys Bilal Sayoud and Vladimir Gadzhev alongside the likes of Ruben Lameiras.
With Tony Mowbray, Jamie Clapham, Claus Jorgensen, Ian Goodwin and Ray Gooding, Jacob Murphy, Marc Antoine Fortune, Jordan Willis and Steve Ogrizovic amongst those watching on in a crowd of a couple of hundred, City attacked the North Stand for the first half.
Sayoud playing at left back showed a few nice touches early on as did Kyle Spence who made some good runs. The pair combined again in the 15th minute to win Coventry a corner on a windy afternoon.
Another corner followed a minute later and after Gartside had punched away, Cian Harries, who had a solid game, volleyed just wide of the right hand post.
Adeyemo got in a deflected shot which earned the Hornets a corner in the 22nd minute and then went down in the area when the kick came over but nothing was given.
A great ball from Sayoud in the 24th minute found George Thomas who ran in but had his shot blocked. The ball came to Ruben Lameiras on the right but Gartside was down to save.
Sean Murray fired over in the 25th minute but on the half hour mark, George Thomas raced through after pouncing on a defensive error and slotted past Gartside to give Coventry the lead.
The Wales U19 international fired wide in the 36th minute and six minutes later, an attack down the right saw Lameiras strike the right hand post of Gartside, following a Dion Kelly Evans ball and win a corner that went to Gadzhev who had his 20 yard volley beaten away.
Spence got through but had his shot blocked before the half ended.
There were "Sky Blue Army" and "Small Town In Luton" from some kids at the back of the main stand as the second half got under way.
Watford had an early chance before City put together a great move which was started by Harries and saw Dion Kelly-Evans, who had a fine game, get in to hit a shot which was pushed away by the diving Gartside for a corner.
Those at the back, who were delighting criticising the afro of Jorell Johnson, watched, as George Thomas won City a 53rd minute corner.
Lameiras, who picked up a bit of a knock, fired wide in the 58th minute and Dion Kelly-Evans did the same a minute later before Vladimir Gadzhev who played well in his first game in months, was replaced on the hour mark by Callum Maycock.
Thomas won a corner in the 63rd minute and Dion Kelly-Evans won another four minutes later and in the 68th minute, Spence played a great ball to Devon Kelly-Evans who struck the right hand post of Gartside who was well beaten.
Watford had a great chance in the 77th minute but George Byers who was skippering the Hornets side volleyed wide from seven yards.
City had deserved a second goal and it came in the 78th minute when Jordan Shipley who had just come on for Ruben Lameiras, had a shot parried and it fell for Kyle Spence to tap home.
Another good run and shot by Thomas won City a corner, followed another in the 84th minute that Alfie Young cleared as City made the most of a poor Watford side and took a deserved victory..
