COVENTRY CITY U23'S 2-1 SHEFFIELD UNITED
Coventry City U23's remain top of the league after coming from behind to beat Sheffield United 2-1 at AHC.
Nicky Eaden was forced due to injuries and City's first team game tomorrow to name a very young side which was a goal down in six and a half minutes when Jordan Hallam netted.
City grew into the game and three minutes into the second half with Birthday Boy Jak Hickman amongst those putting in a good shift, the Sky Blues were level.
Marcus Dewhurst, the United keeper got himself in a right pickle and this allowed Billy Stedman to round him and slot the ball into the empty net.
City continued to press and in the 64th minute, a cross came over from the left, Dewhurst flapped and there was Bilal Sayoud at the far post to fire City into a 2-1 lead from close range.
Corey Addai and a capable City defence lead by Darragh Leahy, dealt with what little United threw at them and the Sky Blues were able to make it five games unbeaten with a win that was more comfortable than the score-line suggests.
