Coventry City U23's got their Professional Development League campaign off to a defeat by losing 5-2 at Leeds United.
At Elland Road, Nicky Eaden fielded a pretty much expected side and they took the lead in the 11th minute when Devon Kelly-Evans converted a penalty. A minute later and it was two when Jordan Ponticelli fired home.
However, Leeds came back five minutes into the second half when Frank Mulhern got on the end of a Wilks cross to reduce the arrears and in the 57th minute, Leeds were level when Eoghan Stokes ran at the City defence and scored from the edge of the area and just after hour mark, the collapse was complete when Clarke Oduor scored again at the back stick and Malik Wilks smashed home in the 64th minute.
Eoghan Stokes hit a fifth in the 72nd minute to send City to a 5-2 defeat.
