City U23's Win At Palace In Seven Goal Thriller

Coventry City U23's won 4-3 against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Jason Farndon's side, who were second at the start of play, went a goal down in the 18th minute when Levi Lumeka rounded Corey Addai to score in front of a crowd of around 200 including a handful of City supporters.

However, in the 33rd minute, City were level when Dion Kelly-Evans set up Jordan Ponticelli, who volleyed home from the edge of the area for the equaliser.

Seven minutes later, City were ahead when referee Ryan Atkin awarded them a penalty and Jordan Ponticelli stepped up to beat Henry in the Palace goal.

The lead was not to last and Palace drew level in the 41st minute with a Lokilo volley.

In the 53rd minute, Palace were awarded a penalty and up stepped Lokilo to give the Surrey based side the lead once more.

Nine minutes later, parity was restored when Bilal Sayoud arrived to stroke the ball home and make it 3-3.

City contined to look for more goals and in the 76th minute, Jordan Ponticelli hit a shot which struck McGregor and was allowed to trickle into the net and put the Sky Blues back in to a lead that they did not lose.
