Greg Rioch's side had battled through the traffic to get to Roots Hall but the referee called off the game due to a frozen areas in the goalmouth.
The tie has to be played before January 8th and as it has now been postponed twice, the rules of the competition allow the game to be switched to the Ricoh Arena.
