Coventry Ciy U18's coach Jason Farndon felt his side's Birmingham Senior Cup outing was a great experience for his players.
Speaking about the game City lost 1-0 in, Farndon told Keiran Crowley: "At the end of the day, we've got 16-year old's in a men's competition which is great.
"It is a valuable experience at a different type of football and the sort of football where you've got to stand up and be counted.
"We're used to playing Academy football where a lot of teams like to pass it but Halesowen were quite direct and so it was a great experience for us, in particular our defenders who were physically tested tonight."
