Jason Farndon has said that he was proud of the professional players in Conor Thomas, Ryan Haynes, Shaun Miller and Simeon Jackson who helped out Coventry City U21's last night in their 4-2 defeat at Cardiff City.
With David Hockaday, a caretaker manager of the first team, Farndon stepped up to take charge of the U21's and said: "The first-half we kept the ball well but conceded some sloppy goals.
"But the second half was much better, the lads showed great character not to fold at 3-0 and we were close to a comeback and the lads worked hard to get us in a position to almost complete a turnaround.
"I was really proud of the pros for helping the young lads along. They applied themselves which is a credit to them."
