Coventry City U23's coach Jason Farndon was unhappy with his side as they went down 2-1 to Charlton Athletic this afternoon at AHC.
Dexter Walters scored for the Sky Blues in the second half after Ben Dempster had scored twice and speaking about the defeat, Jason Farndon told the media: “We’re disappointing in the performance and really unhappy.
“We’ve come into the game on the back of two wins, but our first half performance let us down and we were nowhere near them and were second best and gave ourselves a mountain to climb at 2-0.
“We were better in the second half but still it was nowhere near where we want to be.
“We have two players playing centre midfield which don’t normally play there, so we’re a little unbalanced but that’s still no excuse for work rate and application.
“They got told at half-time.
“We made a change at half-time and again application wasn’t there and I’ve been brutally honest with them it’s their careers their playing for so I have to be honest and tell them how it is.”
