Coventry City U18's coach Jason Farndon felt that his side should have beaten Barnsley on Saturday.
The Sky Blues were a goal up through Ben Stevenson on the half hour mark when the referee Mr Lindsay awarded the visitors an 86th minute penalty after there had been a bit of pushing and shoving in the penalty area when the Tykes had two corners in a row. A third led to a penalty which was converted and City only took a point from the game.
Speaking to Matt Joyce, Jason Farndon said: "We dominanted possession. Again we had twelve Under-18's players and we've coped well with the circumstances. We definitely deserved to win the game, they didn't really trouble us massively.
"The penalty was soft to say the least. I spoke to the referee after the game and actually bumped into him at the Ricoh - we showed him the footage! But we shook hands and moved on, it's football but I really feel for the lads as they deserved to get the three points."
