The Sky Blues against the dark Blues had the better of the early chances with Walters, Bremang and Westbrooke all working Burwood in the Cardiff goal.

Cardiff replied with two corners and Addai got down to a Lee Tomlin shot which led to a 14th minute corner that Addai reacted superbly well to block an Anthony Pilkington shot from inside of the area.

In the 24th minute, Lee Tomlin was booked for a foul and then was shown a red card for what looked like dissent.

City took the lead in the 38th minute when Dexter Walters created space and turned to get the ball on his right foot and curl it superbly into the net.

A good move saw Ngandu get in a 52nd minute shot which Burwood had to deal with before saving from Bremang.
